Elizabeth Kunce is a national security expert specializing in crisis management, strategic competition, and societal resilience in the Indo-Pacific. For over 20 years, she has supported the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Since joining DKI APCSS her efforts have centered on strengthening U.S. and allied resistance to hybrid threats, cognitive warfare, and foreign malign influence.

She has led efforts to counter information warfare, enhance civil-military coordination, and bolster humanitarian and disaster response across the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) area of responsibility. Previously, she managed defense-focused training and operational planning at the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE-DMHA), directly supporting real-world DoD contingency operations.

Her expertise spans security sector engagement, law enforcement training, and gang and gun violence interventions, working with federal and state agencies to advance deterrence and stability strategies. Dr. Kunce holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and an MPA in Community Planning.
