Brent Feller joined the Daniel K Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in February 2023 as a Military Professor in the College of Security Studies after a posting at Headquarters, Pacific Air Forces as a Country Director focused on Indonesia, Malaysia, Timor Leste, and Brunei. He is an Indo-Pacific focused Foreign Area Officer with a specialty in Southeast Asia.

Prior to becoming a Foreign Area Officer, Major Feller was a Nuclear Operations Officer at Minot Air Force Base with experience as a Combat Crew Commander, Evaluator, and Planner. He was selected to be an instructor at 392d Training Squadron, Vandenberg Air Force Base. He also has joint experience as a Battle Captain as an in-lieu of officer with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan from 2007-2008.

Further assignments as a Foreign Area Officer include Executive Officer for the Chief, Joint United States Military Assistance Group Philippines, U.S. Embassy Manila. He also served at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency as a Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Planner focused on the Indo-Pacific region with time in South Korea.

Major Feller holds a BS in Mathematics Education from Purdue University, an MBA from American Military University, and a MA in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School. His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Air and Space Commendation Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
