The Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS), in collaboration with the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) of the Maldives, hosted a workshop aimed at revising and updating the country’s strategy on preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE). The one-day event was designed to help the NCTC assess and improve the National Strategy on P/CVE (NS-PCVE) and its associated National Action Plan (NAP-PCVE).

Dr. Sam Mullins joined the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS) in August 2019. Prior to joining DKI APCSS, Dr. Mullins spent the previous seven years as a professor of counter-terrorism at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, during which time he contributed to the professional education of more than a thousand counter-terrorism (CT) and security practitioners from around the globe, and participated in CT outreach activities in some two dozen countries.
