Captain Erin Williams joined DKI APCSS in July 2023 as a Military Professor. A 1998 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, she holds an M.A. in Educational Technology from San Diego State University. Over her career, she has commanded units in Japan and Minnesota, led training at the Coast Guard’s Leadership Development Center, and served internationally in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. She has instructed maritime affairs students, represented the Coast Guard at the International Maritime Organization, and held various leadership roles in marine safety and operations. Her military decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, two Coast Guard Meritorious Service Medals, five Coast Guard Commendation Medals, and other personal, unit, and campaign awards.
