APCSS Director, retired Army Lt. Gen. Edwin Smith, recently embarked on an Outreach trip to Thailand where he met with military officials and APCSS alumni to discuss security challenges in the Region. After Thailand, Director Smith proceeded to Hanoi where APCSS and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) co-hosted the “Vietnam and United Nations Peace Operations” workshop. Mid-level and senior policy level leaders from the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs who are involved in peace operations participated in the event.
