Dr. Alexander Vuving has a new article published by The National Interest on “How Vietnam can stop the South China Sea ADIZ.”

He begins with the question of “What is China’s next big move in the South China Sea?”  According to Vuving, many experts believe that China will eventually claim an air defense identification zone (ADIZ) in the area.

He explains how these assumptions came about and what the reaction might be from key plays in the South China Sea including the creation of a possible Vietnamese ADIZ.  Vuving states that “a Vietnamese ADIZ that covers the Paracel Islands could cause the damage that China would rather avoid. ”
