Dr. Alex Vuving has a new OpED “Vietnam: Where To Now After Trong?” published by Eurasia News/East Asia Forum. This article looks at how Vietnam’s government is evolving, current business trends, and the impact of COVID-19.

According to Vuving: “Events over the past year have brought major long-term trends in Vietnam’s domestic and foreign policy to the surface. The country will be less aligned with China. In the next decade, it will likely have its first non-conservative leader since the Cold War’s end but its leaders continue to value the Leninist state model.”
