The Daniel K. Inouye (DKI) Speaker Series returns this Sunday, featuring His Excellency Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines. He will discuss regional developments, the Philippines’ security challenges, and the critical role of the Philippine-U.S. alliance in addressing issues and concerns to advance mutual interests in promoting peace and ensuring resilient, sustainable, and inclusive growth for the Filipino people.

The inaugural “Daniel K. Inouye Speaker Series: Perspectives on a Secure, Stable, and Prosperous Indo-Pacific” was held on February 6, 2019 at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS). The event was cohosted by the DKI APCSS, The Foundation for the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies and the Daniel K. Inouye Institute (DKII). The first speaker of this series was U. S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Harry Harris.  A retired U.S. Navy admiral, Harris is the former Commander of U.S. Pacific Command (now U.S. Indo-Pacific Command).
